Position Summary

Main task is to manage and liaise with clients. Ensure client requirements are met, account executives need to work closely with colleagues, including media planners and buyers, copywriters, designers and administrative staff. Effectively executes strategies, problem-solves, and develops solid business relationships to clients. Also, ensures work is executed flawlessly, on time and on budget. Reports directly to Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, supports, and assists in the completion of day-to-day projects
  • Inspires the creative teams with the knowledge of the business and passion to contribute. Looks for insights and helps them understand the direction communications must take on the projects.
  • Serves as the liaison between the client and the agency
  • Work with the Creative Director to ensure all projects are following best practices and identified learning’s from previous campaigns
  • Support Creative Director in formulating pitch for new clients
  • Issues and updates status report(s), detailing all active projects, status, timing, and next steps
  • Presents and obtains client approval on budget, formal estimates, copy, concepts and artwork
  • Ensures formal estimate is client-approved prior to incurring costs
  • Ensures materials are released for media insertions/production/printing
  • Recaps client direction, comments and agreements in the form of a contact report
  • Issue job brief(s) for revisions and ensures revisions address client comments
  • Participates in weekly status meetings
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work
  • QC projects at all stages – conception, development, and production

  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • A self-starter, collaborative and being an innovative problem solver and a creative marketer
  • Project management skills, demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail

Required Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as an Account Executive in an advertising agency
  • A marketing background/expereience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
